Dime of The Year: Nicki Minaj

2010: Year In Review

2010 was another big year for hip hop. There was more unity & less beef something that's been lacking in the game. The competition has increased but what's hip hop without it. Something I wont forget about this year is how Wacka Flocka had everyone wildin in the club when Oh Lets Do It came on. Rick Ross did the same thing when he dropped his 4th album "Teflon Don". Blowing Money Fast without a doubt is the anthem of the year. Who can forget the amount of album quality mixtapes that were released. There was moments where no one could go a day without Wiz Khalifia "Kush & Orange Juice". While everything was looking on point there was some moments we wish never happened, like when we lost hip hop legend "Guru". Who cant forget how many people where screaming out Free Weezy when Lil Wayne was serving his 8 month sentence. T.I. dropped another classic (No Mercy) while serving a 11 month sentence. Even with the bad came the good. Drake & Nicki Minaj put there stamp on the game with their debut albums. Dipset reunited while Kanye stayed controversial. Overall it was a good year for hip hop.

No Boys Allowed

The very sexy & talented Keri Hilson is back with her sophomore album "No Boys Allowed". The R&B singer decided to link back up with Timberland & Polow Da Don producing the sound quality music you were use to hearing from her. Keri Hilson shows a different side of her, a side of her that wasn't introduced when she dropped her debut album last year. She definitely took her artistry to another level on this one. Check out her latest video "The Way You Love Me" featuring Rick Ross (grown men allowed).

Calling All Hearts

Keyshia Cole drops her 4th studio album "Calling All Hearts". It's been a minute since we all heard from the R&B singer due to her personal life but she comes back stronger then before. Keyshia continues to expand vocally delivering you with deep love ballets while still giving you uptempo records like "I Aint Thru". Here's her latest video for the track featuring Nicki Minaj.

Best Night of My Life

Jamie Foxx is back with his 4th studio album "Best Night of My Life". The multi-talented artist takes R&B to another level delivering you with records like Sleeping Pill & 15 Minutes. Jamie Foxx probably remains one of the most underrated R&B artist in the game even after dropping tracks like Blame It & Unpredictable. Here's his latest video "Fall For Your Type" featuring Drake.

Dynamic

The biggest comeback game of the 2010 NFL season was lead by none other then Michael Mr. Clutch Vick. With only 8 minutes left in the game Vick lead the Philadelphia Eagles back from a 21 point deficit. While everyone was on edge of their seats thinking the game would go into overtime, there was still 14 seconds left. The impossible then happened, DeSean Jackson ran back a 65 yard punt return for a touchdown that probably left every Giants fan depressed the next day. Everyone knows whether your playing Madden or just watching a Eagles football game, you do not kick it to DeSean Jackson with 14 seconds left on the clock. I mean really? how dumb can you be. Now that my team has been eliminated from the playoffs I would like nothing more then to see Vick hold the Lombardi trophy in February.

Basic Instinct

The very sexy & talented Ciara is back with her 4th studio album Basic Instinct. Ciara has not strayed away from what has made her relevant in the game as she continues to hit you with uptempo dance tracks while still showing off her vocal strength. Beast Mode

Last Thursday night, LeBron James shut everyone up who doubted him this season with his stand out performance. James put his former team to shame as Cleveland fans had no choice but to sit & watch him score 38 points with no regard for their feelings. LeBron got the last laugh (Dan Gilbert) since then he's been on a role, playing with the enthusiasm we always seen him with before joining the Heat back in July. I personally think LeBron had that Cleveland game on his mind for a very long time. It was probably all he was thinking about since the season started could possibly be the reason he couldn't concentrate on any other game before that. Now that its over, all I expect to see is the 2x MVP we all witness for 7 years.

No Mercy

T.I. is back with his 7th studio album entitled No Mercy. The self proclaimed King of The South continues to grow as an artist putting together one of his best albums to date. Already ten years in the game I seen T.I. come a long way from I'm Serious as he continues to get lyrically stronger. Here's his latest video for the title track "No Mercy" featuring The Dream.

Homecoming ?

Tonight LeBron James returns to Cleveland after making the decision to join the Miami Heat back in July. This will be one of the biggest challenges of his career as he faces a hostile Cleveland crowd who remains bitter over his departure. I think we all remain clueless of what's really going to happen as the anticipation continue to build leading up to the game. One thing I know Cavaliers fan are going to let him have it how bad we'll just have to wait & see.
